Modern Tattoo

mordern tattoo

Modern tattooing has evolved significantly over the years, with advancements in technology, artistic styles, and cultural influences. Modern tattoo artists use advanced tattoo machines that are more efficient and precise compared to traditional hand tools and showcase their unique identities.

Traditional/Old School Tattoo

Old School Tattoo

Traditional tattoos are characterized by bold, black outlines and a limited color palette. They often feature classic designs such as anchors, roses, swallows, hearts, and pin-up girls. Traditional tattoos have a vintage, retro aesthetic.

Potraits Tattoo, Photo Tattoo

Potraits Tattoo

Realism tattoos aim to replicate the appearance of a photograph or a real-life object on the skin. They require a high level of skill to create detailed and lifelike portraits, animals, nature scenes, or objects. Realism tattoos often use shading and meticulous detailing to achieve the desired effect

Watercolor Tattoo

Watercolor Tattoo

Watercolor tattoos mimic the fluid and vibrant appearance of watercolor paintings. They often lack black outlines and instead incorporate bright, translucent colors that blend together, creating a soft and dreamy effect. Watercolor tattoos can depict anything from abstract designs to nature elements or even portraits.

3D Tattoo

3D Tattoo

3D tattoos, also known as three-dimensional tattoos, are tattoos that are designed to give the illusion of depth and realism on the skin. Unlike traditional tattoos, which are typically flat and two-dimensional, 3D tattoos use shading, perspective, and optical illusions to create a lifelike appearance. It's important to note that the success of a 3D tattoo heavily relies on the skill of the tattoo artist.

Geometric Tattoo

Geometric Tattoo

Geometric tattoos consist of precise lines, shapes, and patterns, such as triangles, circles, hexagons, or mandalas. They often employ symmetry and repetition to create intricate and visually appealing designs. Geometric tattoos can be purely abstract or combined with other elements like animals, flowers, or symbols.

Tribal Tattoo

Watercolor Tattoo

Tribal tattoos draw inspiration from indigenous cultures and their traditional tattooing practices. They typically feature bold black lines and abstract designs that hold cultural significance. Tribal tattoos can vary in style depending on the region or culture they are influenced by.

Japanese Tattoo (Irezumi)

Japanese Tattoo

Japanese tattoos have a rich history and are known for their elaborate, large-scale designs. They often depict traditional Japanese motifs like koi fish, dragons, samurai, cherry blossoms, and waves. Japanese tattoos incorporate bold colors, intricate details, and storytelling elements.

Dotwork Tattoo

Dotwork Tattoo

Dotwork tattoos are created by using tiny dots to form intricate patterns and shading. They can range from simple geometric designs to complex mandalas or religious symbols. Dotwork tattoos require precision and patience, as they involve meticulously placing thousands of dots to create the desired image.

Tattoo Aftercare Instructions

Depending on your tattoo procedure and artist, you will be given either one of two methods to heal your tattoo. Please follow your instructions below.

At Trichy Tattoo, I prioritize the aftercare process to ensure the proper healing of your tattoo. I believe it is essential for the longevity and quality of our work. To cover the costs associated with aftercare, I have implemented a small aftercare service fee for every procedure.

In the event that the recommended ointments are temporarily unavailable at our studio, our staff will suggest suitable replacement products for you to use. However, please be aware that if you decide to use products such as Neosporin, Bacitracin, or Vaseline, I cannot be held responsible for any adverse effects, including loss of color, rashes, prolonged healing, or excessive scabbing. To ensure the best outcome and to guarantee our work, it is crucial that you follow the aftercare instructions provided by one of our artists.

I kindly request that you adhere to our instructions for a properly healed tattoo. Proper aftercare plays a significant role in achieving the desired results and maintaining the integrity of your tattoo.

Method 1 - Tatoo After Care

Here are the steps on how to care for your tattoo using the tattoo ointment method:

  1. Keep the bandage on for 1 hour after your tattoo is done. This will help to protect your tattoo from bacteria and dirt.
  2. Remove the bandage, wash your tattoo with soap and water, and then dry it. Use a mild, unscented soap and warm water. Pat your tattoo dry with a clean towel.
  3. Moisturize your tattoo with the recommended tattoo ointment 4-5 times a day for the first 3 days. You can use a clean finger or a cotton ball to apply the ointment. Make sure to rub it in completely so that there is no shiny film left on the surface of your tattoo.
  4. On the fourth day, switch to an unscented hand lotion and moisturize your tattoo 4-5 times a day for 3 weeks. You can continue using the tattoo ointment if you prefer, but an unscented hand lotion is usually gentler on the skin.
  5. Avoid swimming, soaking, tanning, covering your tattoo with bandages, or scratching your tattoo for 3 weeks. These activities can irritate your tattoo and slow down the healing process.

Here are some additional tips for caring for your tattoo:

  • Keep your tattoo clean and dry. Wash your tattoo with soap and water once a day and pat it dry.
  • Avoid scratching your tattoo. If you itch, apply a cold compress or take an over-the-counter antihistamine.
  • Protect your tattoo from the sun. Wear sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or higher whenever you go outside.
  • Be patient. It takes about 2-4 weeks for a tattoo to fully heal. Don't worry if it looks a little rough around the edges at first. It will eventually smooth out.

If you have any concerns about your tattoo, be sure to talk to your tattoo artist. contact our Trichy Tattoo Studios, Trichy Tattoo Shop artist

Method 2 - Tatoo After Care

Here are the aftercare instructions for Derm-Shield:

  • Leave the first piece of Derm-Shield applied by your artist on for 48 hours.
  • If the Derm-Shield has a leak or hole, you can patch it with your second sheet.
  • After 48 hours, you can remove the Derm-Shield and switch to an unscented hand lotion until your skin returns to its pre-tattoo condition.
  • Your tattoo should heal in 14-28 days.
  • Consult a physician if you experience any signs or symptoms of infection, such as redness, green/yellow discharge, or fever.

Here are some additional aftercare tips:

  • Stay out of sunlight and tanning booths until your tattoo is healed.
  • Do not soak in a tub, sauna, Jacuzzi, or go swimming while your tattoo is healing. Showers are fine.
  • Do not rub or pick the treated area while it is healing.
  • Apply a strong sunscreen (at least SPF 25) to your tattoo when you are exposed to the sun.
